Course Overview
A license class 1 is required for those who aspire to become a Licensee in Charge of a Property Business. Not only will the Diploma of Property (Agency Management) meet the education requirements for appointment as a Licensee in Charge, it also focuses on key the skills necessary to work in senior real estate roles, such as “Principal Agent”, “Agency Director”, “Agency Manager” in NSW.
Only a license class 1 licensee in charge can open, administer and authorize withdrawals from Trust Accounts.
The pathway to obtaining your class 1 license includes the following:
- Completing a Diploma in Property (Agency Management)
- held a class 2 license for two years
- completing a number of practical experience tasks, demonstrated by having those tasks signed off by a Licensee in Charge, on the “Evidence of Work experience log book” issued by the Office of Fair Trading.
- Be at least 18 years old when Applying for a class 1 license with the Office of Fair Trading.
